i would maybe suggest making the colors more stark except that might just be the picture

to karen: yes it is the picture. it is a very nice painting in person. the colors are... stark as you say :D

to kelsey:

I love these paintings. Your concentration is genius, far better than the one you had last year. But I felt you chose that one because you may have been trying to continue to discover yourself as an artist, etc etc. I could go into this completely cheesy rant about that, but I won't. Because like i said, it is completely cheesy. Anyways, I like the road kill one. I think it is nice that you made it bloodier around the mouth, because the time before I saw it look bloodier it didn't feel as gross and didn't make my gag reflex kick in. The hamburger smothered in mayonnaise is going to look so great and disgusting. And dads toes... are dads toes. Looks like 'em, disgusts me in the same ways, etc. I'm glad you used a different color for the skin, because it makes the yellowy fungus stuff on his toes be extenuated. The only thing I would say is that you should not be focusing on the FROSTING right now, and you should finish the CAKE. I know, it is agonizing, but please do. And maybe for your next painting/piece of art work, you should use something other than acrylic. Because Kelsey, lets face it, many of the pieces you do are with acrylic. I know they are fun, but you should try something new. Maybe doing so could create some super funky fresh technique for a disgusting texture...

That is all. Good day

I love the way you used contrasting colors. The foot appears really realistic. Great Job!

Hi Kelsey
I'm so impressed after finally getting around to looking up your work. My favorite is the hamburger. I love the angles and colors. It reminds me of complete caloric abandon...a rarity for women in this day. I look forward to seeing you again. You are a very talented and special individual. Wendy (your aunt's neighbor)
